ATD China Summit
We live in the era of the connectivity of everything. Technology makes every piece of information we want accessible to us from anywhere and at any time. The development of any industry cannot be separated from the support of technology, and the same is true of talent development. The Association for Talent Development’s (ATD) 2020 Industry Status report reveals a rapid growth in the use of technology in real-time virtual classrooms and for autonomous online learning during 2019–2020. The use of e-learning within companies has risen from 1 percent to 20 percent during the previous five years to 21 percent to 40 percent today. Additionally, the report data was collected before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has since provided an even greater boost to learning technology.
Whoever knows technology leads the future. Combining this with the requirement of technical application capability under ATD’s Talent Development Capability Model, ATD 2021 China Summit set its title as Technology Empowering Soaring Growth. The summit will be conducted by employing a blended learning style, which will help practitioners reshape and upgrade skills in related fields from the perspectives of strategy, practice, and implementation of useful tools.
More Than Micro – Designing Learning That Fits
Learning is a critical part of the workplace experience. As business disruption and technology continue to change how work is done, people must constantly rebuild and refresh their job skills. However, we can only learn so quickly and retain so much information. Plus, people don’t have a lot of extra time in their busy schedules to dedicate to learning. How can L&D avoid force-feeding people and help them develop just the right skills at the right time?
Join JD Dillon, Chief Learning Architect at Axonify and Founder of LearnGeek, for an in-depth exploration of microlearning. You’ll review critical microlearning principles that will help you reimagine your learning ecosystem. You’ll learn how to design training solutions that “fit” within today’s workplace. You’ll discuss the role technology plays in executing a microlearning approach. You’ll evaluate real-world examples that demonstrate how microlearning can enable rapid reskilling and drive bottom-line business results. Finally, you’ll apply microlearning tactics to solve familiar learning and performance challenges.
