QWrap. It’s that time again. Please re-introduce yourselves. Shameless plugs welcome
A6) If you’re an introvert, make the extra effort to share even if it’s online (hide behind the avatar)
A6) Admit that you don’t know everything …
A6) humility opens doors …say “gosh! wish I knew more about x,y, or z”
A6) Trust … But know when to call bull%&$% …
A6. be human. build trust, connect. give to get.
a6) Belligerence and refusal to accept ‘common sense’ go a long way
A6) Make time for conversation. Join an industry event. Google. YouTube.
A6) Form communities (like )
A6) Participate … Don’t wait for people to come to you … Ask questions …
6) How can we increase (and better) our opportunities to learn together?
A5) Walk up to someone and ask questions …
A5) Work out loud. Share experience in ways that allow open discussion (blog, tweet, present).
Q5: what are different ways to learn together?
A? Learning together doesn’t necessarily mean learning from each other either. ppl can share an experience (for what its worth)
Note:Lots of folks new to Twitter and  here tonight, being good sports, trying hard. Yay them.
I cannot answer follow-up questions at the table in words. Does not compute!
@DaveHallmon @JaneBozarth @sifowler Depends on the subject, participants, etc.
Suggestion – picture of  live should definitely be on the poster for next year – HUGE attendance boost from this party!
@sifowler interesting to see someone assume group learning means F2F. Didn’t occur to me anyone would think that.
A4) research says not as good with conversation dominators, low social awareness
A4) Bad info, behaviors can propagate … I think that’s the word …
Learning together gives you someone to complain to if the training is bad!
A4) You have to be open … And that’s hard …
A4) May have to work harder to keep everyone at the same pace, pause for remediation.
A4) It drives @JaneBozarth %&$%ing insane!
Q4: what is harder about learning together?
@stevier As long as you rotate, bc a consistent devil’s advocate is just a jerk … Who said that today?
A3) The best of learning happens when you teach. Group learning provides multiple opportunities for that!
A3) Others always have something to offer even if they don’t have expertise. Sometimes expertise gets in the way of learning.
A3) New perspectives, ideas, feedback, resources, experiences, stories … I could keep going.
@DaveHallmon Some of us are leaning back …
A3) Literally everything. Done.
Q3: what is better about learning together?
Best part of  Live! is I don’t have to listen to anyone else or wait for my turn to talk! 😉
A2) learning alone means not hearing other’s interpretation
A2) When you share and work out loud, you never learn alone.
Q2) learning together allows for immediate debate, discussion, sharing of relevant experience…much more.
A2) Who really learns alone nowadays anyway? There are always other people involved, even if just content providers.
A2) Less people to feed … Is that right?
Q2: how is learning together different than learning alone?
And failures RT @PhillyDilly18: A1) Don’t be afraid to share ideas with one another.
1. learning w others much better when others excited about learning too
A1) find examples of great performance and ask questions.
A1) I’ll reiterate the LISTEN as a key to learning from others. Don’t just wait to speak. Keep open mind.
“There is a lot of nerding going on up in here tonight.” ~Andrew
A1) Talk. Share. Listen.
Q1: how do you learn with others?
A0) I learned that it’s super interesting to sit between @bmosh and @britzwhen talking learning and performance.
A0) Great learning (and even better networking) at  … Specifically great convos about performance ecosystems.
Yes, we have people watching our live  in awe! 🙂

You don’t need to solve for the entire social workplace puzzle at once. Prove for concept in pieces but design for eventual scale.
All barriers to social sharing in the workplace start with culture.
Creating a social culture in which users share freely and knowledge is curated will allow your training org to become more strategic.
If you use social tech in your workplace, how do you collect and curate shared knowledge to make it a permanent reference resource?
Social technology should be introduced to solve a performance problem, not just to allow sharing for sharing’s sake.
I’m about to start telling my ‘Breaking Down Silos’ story – social curation and support. Join me in Camelia/Dogwood.
